Product showcase: Rezign Veneer
Sustainable surfaces: discover Rezign
Crafted from recycled textiles by the team behind the Planq range of eco-friendly furniture, we explore how this innovative veneer sheet offers a chic, sustainable option for commercial interiors and furniture design.
In line with our ongoing commitment to responsible and forward-thinking interior solutions, Saxen
is pleased to introduce Rezign Veneer a part of our eco-friendly product range. This stylish, eco-friendly surface transforms textile waste into sumptuous interior finishes. Architects and interior designers within Saxen's clientele have already integrated Rezign into their project specifications, addressing sustainability targets with sophistication.
”By using recycled materials made from textile waste and biobased resources, we want to bridge the gap between contemporary design and environmental consciousness.
Anton and Dennis Teeuw, Rezign designers & founders
From rags to reuse.
Rezign is dedicated to creating sustainable surfaces from textile waste. Instead of discarding old clothing, fabrics, and offcuts, Rezign repurposes these materials by combining them with biobased fibres and a biodegradable binder. The result is a premium-quality veneer that is both visually striking and environmentally responsible.
Rezign's raw materials are sourced from discarded textiles such as denim, suits and uniforms, along with natural fibres like flax, hemp and jute coffee sacks. These fibres are shredded, carded into felt, and pressed with a biobased binder, derived from potato or corn starch, to create rigid veneer sheets or even 3D forms. The finished material has a thickness of 1 - 1.3 mm with a net dimension of 3000 x 970 mm, provides a sustainable alternative to standard high-pressure laminate (HPL), and can be applied in the same way.

Sustainability without compromising quality or style.
By adding Rezign Veneer to our material portfolio, Saxen Commercial Interiors is strengthening its dedication to exceptional design innovation and sustainability. The benefits for our clients and the environment are clear:
Circular design
Textile waste is given new life as a beautiful, functional interior surface.
Aesthetic versatility
Rezign Veneer can be tinted, patterned or even produced using a client’s own textile waste, allowing for unique and meaningful design outcomes.
Reduced environmental impact
Reusing waste materials and employing biodegradable binders lowers reliance on virgin resources and decreases overall carbon footprint.
Distinctive design value
Interiors featuring Rezign Veneer demonstrate authentic environmental responsibility, resonating with clients and end-users who value sustainable practices.
Practical performance
The material can be processed using conventional veneer techniques, offering durability and aesthetic quality with appropriate care.
Design with a conscience.
Rezign Veneer is highly versatile and suitable for a wide range of interior applications, including furniture surfaces, wall panels, shelving, and decorative accents. It can even be shaped into custom forms thanks to its flexible production process. The team at Saxen will work with clients to ensure that Rezign performs consistently across all applications.
As with any innovative material, there are specific characteristics to respect. Rezign Veneer is not fully waterproof, so locations with prolonged exposure to moisture should be avoided. In terms of maintenance, gentle cleaning methods should always be used, avoiding strong chemicals or abrasive products to preserve the surface’s integrity.
Rezign can also help you reach the sustainability goals for your projects or company, and can even do so using your own textile waste. Imagine tabletops or cabinets made from your own company clothing that otherwise would be sent to landfill.
Saxen: where style meets sustainable interiors.
The introduction of Rezign Veneer perfectly aligns with Saxen’s mission to combine product design excellence with environmental responsibility. We will present sample kits in a range of colours and textures, produce case studies, and explore further bespoke opportunities – particularly those involving clients’ own textile waste.
