Pioneering sustainable spaces with strategic partnership
Saxen merger featured in the latest Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce Your Business magazine.

Commercial interiors specialist Saxen is pleased to announce its strategic merger with furniture refurbishment company, The Office Crowd. This partnership enhances Saxen's capability to deliver high-quality, sustainable interior solutions throughout the United Kingdom while being sensitive to budget constraints.
“Once considered one of Scotland's best-kept secrets, this growth is set to propel Saxen into a unique position within the industry and to the forefront of diverse net-zero solutions in the UK.” – Shirley Wallace, Founding Director.
The Saxen portfolio now includes a 44,000-square-foot warehouse and workshop adjacent to its Newmilns showroom, making it the largest refurbishment facility in Scotland. This dedicated space has enabled Saxen to create a unique service – RefurbHub – where they now supply refurbished office chairs, soft seating, storage, and desking from high-end brands such as Herman Miller, Vitra, and Steelcase. In addition, they offer an in-house restoration service, enabling customers to revive their existing furnishings, thereby extending the lifecycle of their products and reducing waste sent to landfills.
“The furniture industry's traditional take-make-dispose model is increasingly unsustainable. This partnership leverages both companies’ extensive experience and influence to transform the lifecycle of office furnishings.” – Ross Dutton, Managing Director.
Saxen is planning to host a behind-the-scenes networking event this summer in partnership with
Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce, showcasing their exciting new services.
